When Emma from Essex-based Regal Kitchens sent through pictures from one of their latest transformations, we knew we’d be a left a little green with kitchen envy. Bright and spacious, packed full of storage, and with the perfect mix of classic style with modern functionality, we’re so excited to share this latest kitchen case study with you.
Traditional style, modern functionality
The brief for this beautiful living space was simple yet challenging; Regal Kitchens’ client wanted a traditional-style kitchen with all the functionality that a modern kitchen demands, from gadgets to ergonomics.
Elegant finish
To achieve the traditional-style, the client opted for Grey Mist painted timber furniture from Regal Kitchens’ stunning Italian collection. This provided a light canvas for the team to work from and the perfect opportunity to introduce beautifully contrasting materials to the design, such as the black granite set against white quartz. The chosen colour and materials work in perfect unity to create a bold yet elegant finish.
Finishing Touches
No part of kitchen design is safe from the eagle eyes of Regal Kitchens’ designers when it comes to finishing touches. We all know that it can be the little things that have the biggest impact, and that’s exactly the case with this living space. Gorgeous Georgian bars on the glass doors create an extra layer of style, the traditional double butler sink enhances the kitchens’ character, whilst the cornice and pilaster add an air of history to this new kitchen.
Use of Space
Regal Kitchens’ client had the luxury of a fantastic size room (25 sqm with an additional 6sqm in the utility) for their new living space but wanted to make sure that every inch of space was used to its full potential.
Internal storage was key to this and no cabinet was safe from the Regal team as they maximized each. The new kitchen includes large heavy-load pan drawer sets, internal drawers and timber cutlery drawer above two larders with internal drawers
However, it is perhaps the opening furniture at the side of the mantle over the range cooker, that is most impressive. These cabinets not only provide valuable storage the maximises horizontal space, but provides a beautiful frame for the classic range cooker.
